Like other gum binders, guar gum is very powerful. Any time you’re working on a new recipe, err on the side of too little rather than too much. Guar gum is a very light tan or gray in color. When blended into incense, it is scentless and will make excellent incense as long as you don’t “over bind” your incense. A good general rule is 1/8 teaspoon to every 2 Tablespoons of incense (1:48 ratio).
