We Have The Best Smelling Vacuum In The County

That isn’t some kind of euphuism. I mean it literally. I learned some years ago that the best way to keep an incense making workshop clean was with a vacuum, not a rag and spray cleaner. While the spray cleaner does an ok job, the moment you wet down the dust from an afternoon of powdering herbs, it turns into a muddy mess that takes a very long time to clean. The vacuum, on the other hand, picks up 95% of the dust quickly and without mud.

We have a shop vac in the workshop that rarely needs its bag replaced. While we do generate a lot of dust, the overall amount is still pretty small, so I only change the bag once or twice a year. We use it to clean up our work areas every time we change from one herb or wood to another. I noticed a few weeks ago that when I turn it on, it now blows out a very pleasant and interesting scent. I can’t begin to guess everything that’s in it, but it’s kind of nice to have a giant orange and black scent blaster. I highly recommend it.
