I’ve been writing for as along as I can remember. In fact, the first time I remember holding a pencil, I was sitting at our kitchen table attempting to write my first play. I was probably in 2nd grade. I started writing and self-publishing small booklets. I wrote a series of them about incense and incense making. In 2003 I was fortunate enough to have my first book professionally published by Llewellyn Worldwide. Since then, I’ve had 4 other books published (3 by Llewellyn and 1 by Red Wheel/Weiser). For some months now, I’ve been working on the outline of a new incense making book. For many years I’ve hoped to publish an incense book that was for a general audience, rather than one for the Pagan/New Age audience. For decades, I’ve received requests from readers for an incense book written for hobbyists rather than religious practitioners. I am about to start on the path to selling that hobbyist book and I wanted to invite you to come along. As the new book progresses, and looks for a publishing home, you are welcome to come along and see what it’s actually like to write, sell, and publish a book. I’ll write regular updates here for anyone who is interested. Let’s get going!
